When Spas Direct (Sunseal Garden Spas Pty Ltd) went into liquidation in June 2024, many spa owners were left without practical help for parts, service, or warranty support. That is where we step in. Separate public commentary from Spa World identified Paul England as the sole director of Sunseal Garden Spas Pty Ltd, noted associations with Sunseal Spas and Southwest Spas, stated that Spas Direct spas and swim spas were made in China, questioned the “designed in Australia” wording, and criticised the lack of detailed technical information on the Spas Direct website, including shell material, insulation and framing details. That article also referred to cheaper models using 2-speed pumps and control systems from lesser-known brands, limited customer-care availability, and poor customer reviews online.

We have sighted records and public-facing material linking other related names into the broader picture. Domain records we have sighted showed galaxyspas.com.au registered to Sunseal Garden Spas Pty Ltd, with Warren England listed as the registrant contact and sunsealspas@yahoo.com.au as the contact email. Records we have sighted for dolphinspas.com.au showed the registrant as Spas Direct Australia, with Paul England listed as the registrant contact and the same contact email. Shortly after Spas Direct and associated JKJ Trading went into liquidation, their General Manager, John Back opened The Spa Co in the same address at Unit 1/52 Gwen Rd, Cranbourne West VIC 3977.

The Spas Direct Facebook page was changed to Galaxy Spas after the Spas Direct/Sunseal/JKJ closure.

We have also seen a Facebook profile screenshot showing Kerry England publicly describing herself as working at Spas Direct, with that same Facebook presence later changed to Galaxy Spas which was then reflected on her Facebook page. A Facebook profile is not the same as a formal corporate record, so we are careful not to overstate it. However, it forms part of the broader public trail connecting these names.

Do Your Own Research Carefully

Before doing business with any related name, rebrand, or successor-type operation, do your own research carefully. Check ASIC, ABR, domain history, address history, warranty support, who is legally behind the sale, and whether replacement parts and after-sales support are genuinely available in Australia.
